Wednesday, October 23rd 2019 - Day 4
- In Mathematics, students applied their conceptual and procedural understanding of perimeter and area to solve a real world problem. Students are working collaboratively to develop different seating plans for our classroom. How can we set up 29 desks in an area of 8 meters by 6.5 meters? Students used the squares on the floor to design our desk arrangement. One desk is equivalent to two squares.
- In Social Studies, students began identify negative impacts of extracting natural resources from the region they are studying.

- In Science, students read and learned about wind power prior to our all day Wind Power activity with Relay education. Then students watched a video about electromagnets. Students then built a circuit to create an electromagnet. Students identified different variables to test the strengths of the electromagnets. They then drew a diagram of their circuit in their journal.
