Wednesday, October 16th 2019 - Day 6

- In Mathematics, students played with cards to practice identifying products and factors with their peers. As a class, we reviewed the concepts of perimeter and area. We began solving problems using the concepts of area and perimeter.
Example: The perimeter is 16cm and has a length(longueur) of 2 cm and width(largeur) of 4 cm. Can you create a rectangle or square that has the same perimeter but a larger and a smaller area.

- In Social Studies, students conferenced in small groups based on their topic and region and shared their research. As a group, they created a list of possible jobs and industries in those areas. Then students shared their ideas to the class.

- In Science, students completed an annotated reading about simple electrical circuits. With a peer, students then constructed a simple circuit using their reading to guide the steps. Students then learned how to draw a diagram of their circuit with a legend and title.
- In ELA, students edited their written work based on feedback from peers and learning criteria  (rubric).
