Tuesday, October 15th 2019- Day 5

- In FLA, students practiced speaking and writing about their experiences and activities during the long weekend. Students are practicing using full sentences and formulating a paragraph about their weekend.
- In Music, we shared music with our peers. We are beginning our ukulele unit.
- In Social Studies, students identified which region and specifically which natural resource they want to research for their first research project of the year. Students researched the following question: Comment utilisons-nous cette ressource naturelle? (ei. Les industrie, les emploies, les loisirs)
- In Mathematics, students practiced their mental math skills with a card game. They then continued to work on identifying the smallest product, largest product, product closest to 500 and closest to 100.

Homework: 
- In class, students will be learning about Canada's past and the electoral system. We will be examining who had the right to vote throughout history and how that changed. This Friday, students will be participating in the student election. (Mock federal election). Students are encouraged to discuss at home which candidate they might vote for. Students will not be sharing their opinions or who they are voting for in class.
