Tuesday, October 22nd 2019- Day 3

- In Health, we reviewed and discussed rules and expectations during a fire drill and lockdown. At the same time, we discussed how being allowed to work in the Learning Commons is a privilege for students who are on task and speak French with their peers.
- In FLA, students reviewed the patterns highlighted in yesterdays' text. As a class, we practice identifying misconceptions in our written work. Students then worked independently and with a peer to edit their own writing.

- In Mathematics, students completed a number talk of 9 x 5. Then students worked independently to complete the following question. Ask me to show you three ways!


- Today, we visited the library and took books out.
- In English, students provided peer feedback regarding their rough drafts of their Madlib. Students worked through 4 rotations in order to improve their work. Students then took their edits and improved their rough copies.

Homework: 20 minutes daily
- School photos have gone home today - Due date is Oct. 31st 2019
- Varsity Acres clothing is on sale. Form has gone home today. Due Nov. 4th
- Scholastics due on Friday!


- Playing Tic-Tac-Toe Products using coins or objects (lego). Talk about patterns and strategies. Students are encouraged to refer to a multiplication table. This is suppose to be a fun game to review factors and products in a positive manner. Celebrate mistakes!
