- In Mathematics, students participated in a Number Talk with division facts. Students focused on using their most efficient strategies such as : using a known fact, using a number line, using a multiplication fact, using a 100 chart, repeated subtractions. Then students continued to learn about first hand statistics. Students create a chart to tally the data they collected when asking their peers a question. Students then used the data to create a bar graph.
- In Social Studies, students practiced their presentations for tomorrow's presentation.
- In FLA, students completed and edited their paragraphs. Students focused on identifying the subject, verb and participate passe(verb) and referring to examplars to ensure they are applying the appropriate patterns in past tense.
- Students participated in Physical Education, Science and ELA.
Homework:
- We will be attending the library on Thursday, January 9th 2019. Students are to identify two books they would like to take out of the library based on their research of the catalogue. https://ims.cbe.ab.ca/
