Thursday, January 15th 2020 - 1

- In Mathematics, students participated in a number talk about 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication questions. Students then worked independently to practice the procedure. 

- In Social Studies, students received their evaluation for their  projects about natural resources. These projects have been uploaded to Iris. Students who would like to review their project again and take the time to improve their work are encouraged to speak to their teacher. Students were then introduced to their next research project. Ask me about what this project is about!! (Students will be using text readers during this project. If they have headphone they would like to use, they are encouraged to bring them to solve.) 

- In Health, students participated in a presentation from our school's S4 officer (Const. Martin)
- In English, students continue to learn about similes. Students played a matching game with their peers and we discussed the meaning of different similes.
- Students also participated in physical education and reading centers.


*Students may wear pjs for Math pattern day tomorrow. 


Homework: January 13th 2020 to February 6th 2020

Students have a book report sheet to fill out based on their reading.
Student choose their books last week from the library.
Students are to hand in their work by the 6th and be prepared to share their work.

Once students have completed their first book, have shared it with their teacher and received feedback. Students will then write a good copy. They will be encouraged to complete a second.
