Wednesday, March 4th 2020 - Day 1

-  In Science/Mathematics, students identified the volume of liquids (measurement) and placed objects into the liquids to calculate the volume of the solids. Students practiced identifying the different 3 dimensional shapes in French.  *Ask me how we measured the shape!
- Students participated in Physical Education, Social Studies and silent reading.
- In FLA, we continued to study the meaning and subjects of songs in French from our film study. Students choose one song and wrote about what they thought the song was about, what the message/subject of the song was and then made connections to the song. (Connection to self, stories, movies...etc)
- In ELA, we read Chapter 14 of our novel study. Students worked on reviewing their spelling and adding additional notes to their reflection. We learned about how much authority and power Mr. Connolly had at Fort St.James in 1827 and we read about an event that occurred between Mr. Connolly and the traders. (Archived at the museum of British Colombia)

Quote of the day: Instead of thinking, “I’m great at this”, think “I practiced and learned how to do this”.
